About this course
A course designed to create awareness for students the multi-faceted nature of grief, and to some essentials in pastoral care and spiritual support in times of mourning. It will also prepare students to understand and solve the grief problems of their church members hence to assist in the members’ spiritual growth. Emphasis is given to the specific bereavement problems and the various means of pastoral and spiritual support available to members in the church setting.
Lecturer : Wong Moi Lee
Dr. Wong Moi Lee (BD, MA, DMin) She is currently an Adjunct Lecturer teaching Basic Counselling and Spiritual Formation at STM and other Malaysian seminaries. She retired as the Director of English Theological Education by Extension (TEE) at STM in 2019. Author of ‘Walking Through Grief,’ her pastoral experiences include over 30 years in pastoral and church planting ministries. She is trained in counselling and prayer ministry. Dr. Wong ministers to those in need of wholeness and conduct private group retreats for spiritual growth. She now worships at Sg. Way Subang Methodist church.
