Academic Year : 2020-2021
About this course

“Gospel & Dharma” is based on a critique of fundamentalist Christianity by Sri Lankan, A.L. De Silva. This course will have lectures presented in 3 segments:

1. There will be an initial summary of, and response to, the main ideas in each chapter of De Silva’s work, for the purpose of clarification.

2. This will be followed by a review of the key Christian doctrine in question, with discussion on the problems from a Buddhist perspective.

3. Each session will close with a critique of the Buddhist doctrine or perspective that is held up as a challenge to the Christian belief-system.
