ID/ME201Anthropology for Christian Mission

ID/ME201 : Anthropology for Christian Mission (1.5 Credit)
Academic Year : 2020-2021
About this course

Anthropology is the study of human beings, their worldview, rituals and artistic expressions, in short, their culture. Knowing and understanding culture will enable Christians to appreciate the richness and diversity of human cultures, and so discern which of our values and motivations are cultural. This will then enable us to differentiate between cultural and biblical values; which will then form a basis for Christian ministry of evangelism, mission, discipleship and contextualisation which is culturally appropriate and biblically based.
