About this course

The primary objective of counselling is to empower individuals to function optimally and satisfyingly through a collaborative process where they learn:

  • to deepen their level of self- awareness (e.g. regarding their temperament, personality, potential, learning styles, communication patterns, developmental issues, self- concept, and self-esteem)

  • to sharpen their thought processes

  • to understand their own psychological constitution and inner frame of reference through an in- depth exploration of their cognition (thinking), affect (feeling) and behaviour (doing)

  • to formulate effectual paradigms for living

Lecturer : Song Cheng Hock
Rev Song Cheng Hock has degrees in theology from Singapore Bible College (B.Th.,Hons) and Australian College of Theology (M.A.). He has specialized training in pastoral care and counselling from the University of South Australia (M. Soc. Sc. in Counselling).
