About this course
Millennials and Generation Z, are considered to be the most researched generations ever, but they also remain the most misunderstood. The majority of the workforce is already made up of predominantly millennial generation, while many churches are struggling to find ways of retaining their presence in the local congregations.
The module will describe the main contours of current research into Millennials and Generation Z with emphasis on what drives and motivates them. The research will span both international as well as Singaporean contexts. It will tap into vast information about Millennials in the workplace alongside looking at how churches can invest in young people for a long haul.
The scope of the course is broad but it is designed to provide a lens through which we can understand the underlying psychological, social and spiritual issues faced by Millennials and Generation Z. The course will create opportunities for interaction and exchange of ideas and experiences, it will highlight both challenges as well as opportunities churches, parents and workplaces are facing in reaching and developing young people while pointing to some key aspects of spirituality formation that are most relevant to the current generation, especially those living in Asia urban contexts.
