CROWN OF THORNS

Such a crown was made by the soldiers and put onto the head of Jesus just before His crucifixion.
Mark 15:17 They put a purple robe on him, then twisted together a crown of thorns and set it on him.
The above is made from the long-thorned briar found plentifully at Bethany.
