Dr David Wong served as Senior Pastor of Mount Carmel Bible-Presbyterian Church in Singapore for 17 years, and then 13 years with Haggai Institute first as the Director of Training, then as Vice-President, International Training, overseeing the training in both Maui, Hawaii, and Singapore. He holds two Master's degrees in Biblical Studies from the University of Manchester, England, and the University of Aberdeen, Scotland. He completed his doctoral studies at Fuller Theological Seminary in 2004.
He now combines the 30 years of his experience in the pastoral ministry and leadership training to mentor leaders. Presently he is Senior Pastor of Zion Bible-Presbyterian Church as well as leadership mentor in The Bible Church, Singapore. Dr Wong has written the lyrics to six musicals, the latest of which is Love Above All: The Story of Jim and Elizabeth Elliot. Among the dozen books he has authored are: Journeys Beyond the Comfort Zone, The Jade Bangle, Make Them Laugh, Help Them Learn, and Finishing Well.
He is married to Jenny, a consultant in pre-school education, and they have two grown daughters and two grandsons.
